Canada! Our neighbors to the north. We crossed the border and ended up driving WAY farther north than we even realized at the time:
Doesn't that look like we drove right up to the North Pole?! It's hard to comprehend that Whistler, the northernmost town we drove to, is still in southern Canada. Pretty crazy, eh?!
We spent a little time in Vancouver, but quickly concluded that the city is a little too big and busy for our liking. Still, it's gorgeous. ...For a city that is.

After we left Vancouver we decided to drive north until we got tired. We stopped for gas along the way and a guy filling up behind us noticed the Alabama tag on Jarvis and asked Jimmy, "Ehh Did you guys really drive all the way from Alabama dontchaknow?!" (at least, that's how I heard it.) Jimmy replied, "...Yeah..." and then had to explain the whole thing - the border patrol on BOTH sides of the border also questioned us about it, requiring Jimmy to explain it all to both of them too - I guess we looked suspicious driving all the way from Alabama for one day in western Canada.

The waterfall below was actually visible in the valley in the picture above. It was just sitting on the side of the road, just like so many waterfalls in the North Cascades. This one actually goes on beyond this shot, it was impossible to get the whole thing in one picture (at least, not from what I could see.)

And there you have it! Our little international excursion. As much as I try to deny it, I love Canada more and more with every visit (this trip brings the count up to two -- two visits.) There is just such a wealth of spectacular wilderness to explore. Of course, this trip has definitely proven that the same is true of the US. North America is just beautiful, dontchaknow!

In case anyone doesn't know, Jims proposed to Katie in Canada at Niagara Falls :) #yourewelcome
The sea planes remind me of that old cartoon TailSpin. That is all :)
Yes! That was an awesome show. I used to watch that every Saturday when I was a kid :)
