Utah! Part 1

Man alive, Utah is marvelous!!! I knew I’d love it due to my fascination with polygamy (This is Katie writing by the way, Jimmy does not share my weird obsession) I’m certain I’ve seen some of those multi-wives homes like on Sister Wives as we’ve been driving…though I may have just wanted to believe that the houses I saw were designed for that purpose. But man, it may be the prettiest state I’ve ever seen. Yesterday we went to Zion National Park and today we hit up Bryce Canyon National Park. Here's what we've driven the past few days (thankfully it's been considerably less than the first two days!!)

Here are some shots from Zion. We decided to visit last minute per suggestion from Jimmy’s brother, Shaun. He recommended that we go see the emerald pools, but we didn’t have enough time and large portions of the trails were closed due to construction. We saw one ‘emerald pool’ (which was more like a muddy pond, we’re guessing July is not the ideal time to see the pools) and had to turn around. But the drive through the park was absolutely worth it.

Jarvis, always waiting patiently.

Bryce was So. Incredible. Just...just, I have no words. Just look:

Resting after the long hike (False. Resting after walking approx. 100 ft. from the car.)

What are those little things doing up there?

"For by Him all things were created...all things were created through Him and for Him." - Col. 1:16

I know, I know, too many pictures. Just a few more though. This is the sort of terrain we drove through on the way to Green River. The view out of Jarvis' window seems to change every few hours in Utah, which certainly makes it easier to stay awake.

Jarvis insisted we stop. See how packed he is!!

Utah also has marvelous speed limits:
