Springtime Down Under

Now that I've mustered up enough courage to venture outside again, I've gathered what I believe to be sufficient evidence to propose the following:

No matter where you are in the world, October is just the best month ever.

I don't have much else to say, I just need to share what I've seen and heard on a daily basis.

First, these are some pictures from around the garden of the home we've been staying in.

Curb appeal.

Lemon tree. There are also limes, oranges,
grapefruits, grapes, figs, mangoes,
and other fruits I can't remember the names of.

And this is a little video I took while walking to work one day. This pond is in our neighborhood, and it must be the 'it' watering hole for birds because there are always tons of them around:

And then, there are the dunes in spring. Incredible.

We went out to the beach the other day, primarily to get some pictures of the dunes, but then this sunset kept distracting us so here's just a little something to end on:

All this spring-time merriment has kept these lyrics from the great Andrew Peterson in my mind, and thankfulness in my heart:

"Have you ever wondered why, in spite of all that's wrong here,
there's still so much that goes so right, and beauty abounds
Cause sometimes when you walk outside, the air is full of song here.
The thunder rolls and the baby sighs, and the rain comes down, the rain comes down.
But when you see that spring has come, and it warms you like a mother's kiss,
Dont you want to thank someone? Dont you want to thank someone for this?"

Thankful that there is Someone to thank for creating unique beauty all over the world this month!
